Abstract

This research semantically studies diwan the poet Taoufik Salmi,The study was conducted
according to the following elements:
- Diachronicsemantics: In this element I extrapolated the modern meaning in the
language of the poet, in relation to the life as a whole in the intellectual, technical and
concrete aspects.
General symbols related to human history in general and to Arab-Islamic literary history
in particularand its semantic function have been identified
-Semantic fields: On the basis of this research, the process of extrapolation and a
complete census of the vocabulary of each domain, search for the roots of words and
keywords and derivatives, and belonging to other elements related to them, and
concluded identify specific areas dominated the diwan of the poet, as follows: (Field of
the homeland - the field of punishment - the field of love.).
