Abstract

This study aims to highlight the characteristics of the imamate, which is a function of the mosque, by explaining the most important difficulties and problems faced by the officials of this job and the pressures it causes. Through a socio-organizational analytical proposal, we tried to detail the legal frameworks of the Imamate function at present, followed by a presentation of the most important causes of professional pressure, which we summarize in: workload, ambiguity of roles, lack of qualifications, poor wages, difficult working conditions and close supervision of imams.
