The dimensions of textual criteria in stylistic formation
Main Article Content
Abstract
Viewing the text as a subject for study and a unit of communication reveals its value as an autonomous linguistic sign. The scientific activity in text sciences encompasses discourse analysis, pragmatics, or text grammar. Text science opens up many scientific fields and specialisations and is not confined to a single theoretical framework, unlike structural linguistics.
In this context, the scope of stylistics has expanded, casting its influence on the textuality criteria discussed in text science theory. This research paper aims to study some of these criteria in relation to the subject of style, specifically informativity and acceptability as stylistic determinants or issues that can highlight the subject of style in a new form. The goal is to investigate what the textual model can offer in establishing style).
