Oral expression activities in French language class in Algeria: "What constraint(s) of implementation in secondary school? and what possible remediation(s)?

Abstract

This study aims to identify the difficulties encountered by learners and teachers of the secondary cycle in Algeria during oral expression activities in French language class; to determine the factors which are the cause, and thereby to try to remedy them by suggesting practical solutions. That said, we first present our methodology and our survey tools. We then proceed to analyze the data from a survey that we conducted among fifty-seven secondary school French teachers. And this, with a view to identifying their difficulties, and their practices in terms of oral teaching, and its evaluation.
