Abstract

Taha Abdul Rahman and Mohammed Abed Al-Jabiri put forwar a triple oppositional
classification of the sciences. Taha Abdul Rahman focuses on the abstract mind, and
considers it the perfect mind. However, for Al-Jabiri, unity works only for the sciences that
have only one method; and this method is the considered mind that sets the path for science
and development. It is the evidential method (the purposes, the nature…), which is used by
the Moroccan philosophical school in general
