Renew understanding of Qur'anic text and reform of the science of interpretation at modernists -Models of the views of modernists

Abstract

The research aims to clarify what the modernist reading is, to understand the concept of renewal, to identify the reality of re-reading the Qur’anic text, to renew its understanding, to reform the science of exegesis in the modernist approach, to identify the reasons on which the modernists set out for renewal, and to identify the methods employed in this. And we try to answer the following problem: Can modernists achieve a contemporary reading of the Qur’an? Is it possible to benefit from the methods of the West in reforming the interpretation? And from what we have come to know that modernity contains methodological flaws and defects with which it is not possible to achieve innovation. Western curricula are unable to approach the Qur’anic text and build a new science of interpretation.
