Abstract

 Abstract: This study tackled talking about the linguistic optimality theory. This theory appeared after the development of the theory of obstetric grammar of Chomsky. This theory opens the way for a diversity of linguistic performance, It is concerned with the usage pragmatic, as well as the significance that Chomsky has neglected. The research result showed that the analysis of grammatical structures in the light of optimality theory in accordance with the two criterion of optimality: GRAMMATICAL OPTIMALITY and linguistic usage optimality. In fact, there is no trade-off between linguistic structures except for the existence of meaning, and this is what achieves the LINGUISTIC USAGE OPTIMALITY and linguistic communication.
