Abstract
The strategies to ensure the security of energy supply are among the subjects of great interest in the political agenda of the EU countries, especially since studies and reports indicate the seriousness of this situation due to the limited production locally and the lack of self-sufficiency, with the adoption of its industrial base on hydrocarbons, Largely. In addition to this great challenge is the reliability of energy suppliers, especially Russia, which controls supplies and transit areas in Eastern Europe through Gazprom. All this has made EU countries looking for alternative strategies and mechanisms to diversify sources of supply by resorting to other countries with productive capacities to ensure their energy security and to break Russian influence in the region.
