The Impact Of Media Convergence On Algerian Media Practice In The Electronic Environment

Abstract

This study seeks to provide a reading of the concept of media convergence. Where the digital techniques of modern and old media have combined them, leading to a revision of the media industry. The trend of digitization-related integration often appears in many respects reflecting the melting of boundaries between traditional media, such as combining a range of means in one medium . This study also sought to shed light on the various challenges that media integration has generated on the Algerian media and the new transformations that have resulted in journalistic practice, whether in terms of content production, processing and consumption, which led to the emergence of new terms in the journalistic field such as cross-media journalism, Mobile journalism, multimedia journalism, and data journalism.
