The Reality of Using Arabic in Social Media Under Language Symbols - Field Study
Main Article Content
Abstract
This study seeks to highlight the reality of the use of Arabic in social media sites under language symbols. The sample survey curriculum was used using the questionnaire tool on a sample of 60 individuals. One of the most important findings of this study is that colloquialism is the most commonly used on social media sites, and that icons of images and images are the most commonly used language symbols in the expression of the majority of members of the sample with a view to shortening time and considering them as an area of amusement with friends and parents. This has led to the absence of Arabic at these sites, mainly because of the weakness of the Arabic language among most members of society, which requires attention across institutions.
