Main Article Content
Abstract
This study examines the influence of new media, particularly social media platforms, on family relationships and values in Algeria. Through a case study of some families, it explores how digital platforms are reshaping family dynamics and challenging traditional norms. Using semi-structured interviews, the qualitative research highlights a shift in socialization processes, with digital platforms often eclipsing traditional sources of values. The findings underscore the complex influence of new media, noting both its potential for positive change and the challenges it poses, such as risks to traditional values and detachment from authentic human interaction.
