Abstract

This research deals with the most important crimes of assaultagainst the low self and the penalties    prescribed for it, or what the jurists of Islamiclawterm as a felonyagainst the low self. The appropriatepunishment  for it, and thisisconfirmed by bothIslamic  jurisprudence and Algerian law. Punishment in Islamic punitive legislationisconsidered more effective in protecting the human body

   and reducingattempts to attackit. Whichischaracterized by restraint and deterrence, compared to the penalties of deprivation of liberty and financial penalties in Algerian law.
