Italian propaganda towards occupied Algeria 1936-1938 through documentary credits from the Directorate of Civil Affairs

Abstract

     Through this study, we seek to shed light on the question of Italian propaganda in Algeria during the period (1936-1938) and its use of religious discourse in the campaigns it led to retain the loyalty of Algerians and push them to revolt against the French colonial presence in Algeria. This study also highlights the propaganda methods used. To complete this study, we will rely on the archives of the National Affairs Series located at the Overseas Archives Center in Aix-en-Provence – France.
