The dynamics of the employment market in Algeria (1962-2022) - Mechanisms and Statistics

Abstract

In this research paper, we attempt to trace the movement of the Algerian labor market, highlighting some statistics on its indicators and reviewing the main mechanisms and devices of its support and organization, recognizing that this movement is constantly under the influence of government development policies changes and a number of national and international events that have a direct and/or indirect impact on the labor market. Overall, the development of the latter has gone through four periods from independence to today. The percentages of its indicators vary according to the characteristics of each stage.Finally, the main challenges facing the Algerian labor market.
