Evaluation of technical procedures in university libraries according to unified Arabic standard: a field study in the university libraries of Guelma

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the technical procedures in the libraries of the university of Guelma according to the unified arabic standard. we relied on the descriptive approach and the questionnaire form with the employees of the technical preparation department of the libraries under study.

The study concluded that the workers in the technical preparation department of the university of Guelma have sufficient awareness of the standard of technical service, especially the unified arabic standard, while the process of building and developing library collection is based on a set of factors represented in the financial resources and budgets allocated for acquisition.
