The image of women in the Algerian folk tale - A thematic study in selected models

Abstract

This article aims to emphasize the status of women in society, regardless of their different role within the family, by studying images and models of women in our Algerian folk tales alongside her male brother, she founding in its entirety to emphasize the actual and strong presence of women in this type of popular stories and its liberation from that superficial, fleeting view that almost suggests that this society does not appreciate it properly and that it underestimates it for the sake of men, and makes it inferior to him, based on some texts that are isolated from the context in which they are used and the situations in which they are valid, and thematically analyzed.
