Abstract

The article deals with the issue of environmental sustainability of residential neighborhoods in Algeria, by conducting an analytical study of the mechanisms created by the legislator in order to achieve this type of sustainability, and assessing whether they succeeded in embodying their goals on the ground, or did they fail? This is done by conducting an analytical study of each of Law No. 90/29 of 01/12/1990 related to planning and reconstruction, amended and supplemented, as well as Law No. 03/10 of 19/07/2003 related to the protection of the environment within the framework of sustainable development, and all related legal texts.
