Abstract

The article aims to shed light on the school and its role in forming the political awareness of
students, as it is a societal institution, and the importance of the study lies in its scientific
contribution in highlighting the roles and functions of the school in addition to its main known role
which is the indoctrination of knowledge, especially the function of political formation and
developing political awareness of students in order to prepare them for the future, The problem of
study is the following main question: What is the school's role in shaping political awareness and
developing it among students? The study concluded that the school has a major role in producing
politically and culturally aware citizens, and that it is through various pedagogical and educational
activities that politically establishes them, encourages their purposeful initiatives, enables them to
develop their political awareness, and provides them with the competencies and skills necessary to
shoulder their responsibilities towards their society
