Abstract

This research studies the different evolutions of Malikite’s jurisprudence fatoua about the Ibadits group in the medieval Islamic Maghreb. It presents some examples of fatoua from the main books of malikite doctrine, and then shows the ibadite group positions about it by giving examples from their several cognitive productions. finally, It tries to present some dialogue and rapprochement manifestations between the two groups in order to demonstrate that the history of Ibadite-Malikite relationships was not only founded on conflict, but somehow on intellectual contact in some periods, especially concerning discussing and facilitating contreversy matters.
