" أف" في اللسان العربي، والسياق القرآني والنبوي

Abstract

This study highlights a Quranic and an authentic Arabic word which is “Ofen\أف”. The study will numerate its linguistics meanings such as: resignation, boredom and cowardice by giving examples for each definitions. Afterwards, the paper will state the words’ famous dialects, which was counted to reach fifty ways. Besides all that, the paper will search for the meaning of the term in the Quran and Prophet Mohammed, peace be upon him, speech, for it was repeated in the Quran three times. The interpreters gave different meanings for it; the paper mentioned some of them. Last but not least, the paper states the relation between the Quranic and the linguistics meaning of the term
