Abstract

This study deals with one of the most important experiences of the unity of the Arab Maghreb in its military aspect, which can be considered a golden opportunity lost to achieve a project that was and still is the dream of the peoples of the Arab Maghreb region, both in terms of appropriate exceptional circumstances and, as well as for several reasons, were encouraging for success, but all of this was not enough and this unitary Maghreb military experiment failed as did previous unitary experiences. We are here in this study, although we value the seriousness and spirit of struggle that accompanied the experience of the maghreb military unity under the banner of the Arab Maghreb Liberation Army, which can be considered one of the best experiences of the history of Maghreb relations in contemporary history, but we were assured that revolutionary enthusiasm, patriotism, and sincerity of intentions could not achieve projects for us, nor build a future for us, as a result of these repeated failures and faltering experiences of the unity of the Maghreb we are required to re-read our history objectively, it could help us build a better future
