Abstract
The poem ‘Banet Suad’ represents a vision that reflects the features of the poet self, when he gives senses to the words through his psychological and artistic experience, as well as reflecting his creative identity, which accelerated deconstructing the naïve amatory poetry, rising it to another life, full of a chaste emotional energy which dominated the psyche of Ka'b Ibn Zuhair.
Through praising the Prophet peace be upon him, the poem achieved a qualitative shift in its field, by going beyond the sterile sensory vision, opening another horizon for the receptor to accept the image of the praised one.
So the question posed: did this poem-through praising the Prophet peace be upon him- open the horizon to the poet to express a contradictory vision of his Djahiliyan ( ignorance period) one?
