Abstract

Nation's progress has always been the central concern of politicians and thinkers since the very beginning of
civilizations. Many theories attempted to determine the vital factors helping this . Thus views have diverged
up on theories. Some attribute this to geographical factors, others to race, while others believe in the Divine
providence. Toynbee a contemporary thinker, this philosopher suggests that nations that had an adequate
response to natural and social challenges, were able to progress.some researchers suggest that he gave a
