Abstract

This research paper aims to address a contemporary, continuing and extremely important philosophical
problem of Arab and Islamic thought in general and Algerian thought in particular, represented by the
"problem of culture", by examining the problem of culture in Algerian society that affected other political
and ideological fields. The educational and educational, historical and religious, and from this standpoint
has become the root of intellectual and practical nihilism in the reality of the Algerian human being. This is
what made the Algerian philosopher and intellectual Abdallah Cherait expose it to analytical and critical
study, first approaching the concept of culture and the most prominent causes of the problem of culture in
Algeria, then a contribution The Algerian intellectual in his consolidation of this cultural crisis, considering
him as the first expressed official, trying in the end to present a forward-looking vision to get rid of it and
overcome it through what he called the legitimacy of the cultural revolution, which should be led by the
intellectual who establishes the culture of the state between both the ruler and the ruled, and this intellectual
is the organic intellectual Or the popular who must speak the language of his people, communicate with
them and defend them, and only then will he represent his culture and elevates it
