Abstract

This research paper aims to study the factors that contribute to each other to constitute criminal behavior, whether demographic factors such as the age, sex and family status of people who have committed crimes, or factors related to the social environment, whether family conditions such as family dissociation and the nature of socialization, and social environment such as neighborhood, housing and group of comrades, as well as the knowledge of the extent of the criminal phenomenon in society and the types of crimes that spread in Algerian society, whether they are committed against persons, property or linked to organized crime, or their distribution between the urban and the rural. In this study, we used the interview technique with interviewees who deal with crime-related problems on a daily basis, focusing on their skills and experiences acquired during their professional career. The study sample consists of a prosecutor, four lawyers accredited to the Supreme Court and five police officers with more than ten years' experience, in addition to a gendarmerie officer
