Violence against women between societal realities and media content in the Algerian private television channels-critical Reading

Abstract

Algerian women have been able to assume a high profile at all levels, as a result of the reforms that the
State has taken on their behalf, but they still face several problems, foremost among which is the
phenomenon of violence against women . Despite the emphasis placed by the Algerian legislature on the
various violent practices towards women, statistics of this This phenomenon are still high, and with the
audiovisual openness and the multiplicity of its satellite channels, the quantitative plurality has a
qualitative regression in the media content of the Algerian private television channels, which in large part
remained deficient in providing the actual roles of women on the one hand, and on the other hand the
discourse devoted In several programs of violence against women, whether physical or non-physical
