Abstract

abstract: The present study aims at recognizing the efforts devoted to serve Cheikh Aṭṭafayyish patrimony in present and past times whether through indexing, print, manuscripts, or publishing. The study aims also at identifying the specificities of each era, the most recent findings in serving the patrimony of Cheikh Aṭṭafayyish; in addition to evaluating the efforts devoted and encouraging researchers to continue that journey. The researcher used the historical approach in exploring the works done during Cheikh Aṭṭafayyish’s life and after his death, in addition to the recent project following a chronological order. The researcher used also the analytical approach while criticizing and evaluating the works. The researcher concluded the following: first, Cheikh Aṭṭafayyish’s patrimony enjoyed a wide interest from muslims, orientalists, and even from non-Ibadhit followers. Second, the efforts devoted to serve Cheikh Aṭṭafayyish’s patrimony differed between his life and after his death; there was a huge interest in indexing his manuscripts after his death.
