Abstract

Delinquency of adolescents of both genders is among the most prominent phenomena that have spread widely in our societies, prompting us to try to study one aspect of this phenomenon, and the fact that the family is the first nucleus that works to form an individual's personality in the future, and bears a large percentage in his thoughts and behaviors, especially during adolescence. Based on this point, we decided to study the psychological trauma resulting from domestic violence and its relationship to adolescent delinquency, as a serious scientific attempt to find out whether the abuse and violence of parents has a role in causing traumatic symptoms in the adolescent, which could lead to deviant behaviors To achieve this, we relied on the clinical approach through a field study of two teenage cases (female and male), both of whom were subjected to domestic violence during their adolescence, relying on the appropriate clinical approach for such studies, using a set of clinical interviews as well as applying a traumatic neurosis inventory to assess the presence of trauma. Or not. The place of study was in two centers, the first was the Juvenile Delinquent Care Center in Skikda State, and the second was the Female Delinquent Juvenile Care Center in Constantine. We have reached a set of points, the most important of which are: that various types of domestic violence are the cause of the emergence of a group of symptoms of a traumatic nature on adolescents, in addition to the existence of a relationship between domestic violence and what it leaves behind in the psyche of adolescents and their delinquency during this stage.
