Abstract
«Service Historique de l’armée de Terre » . The Algerian-Tunisian border is part of the Phenomenon of the Maghreb Borders, which the French colonial policy played a major role in its emergence, after Tunisia's independence in 1956 and due to its tendency towards enshrining a Qatari policy of national state-building, the officials of the young state tried - after achieving political independence - to complete Tunisia's territorial sovereignty, beginning with the introduction of what they considered the historical rights of the Tunisian state with both Libya and Algeria, Beginning in 1957, Tunisian demands were officially launched, and the first step was to annex the Fort-Saint border post, based on several agreements reached by French officials in Tunisia and Algeria, on the control of the saharan border between the two countries, But the French colonial authorities in Algeria - for strategic and military reasons dictated by the circumstances in the border region - had another opinion regarding the meeting of the demands of the Tunisian state, which created a dispute between the latter and the colonial administration in Algeria over the right to subservient to the site 'Fort-Saint' is the Tunisian soil or Algerian soil? This is illustrated by the Tunisian newspaper Al Sabah and the archives of the historical interest of the Army of The Land.
