Abstract
Abstract Biological weapons have been used in warfare relatively early. And it depends for its effectiveness on organisms that have the property of rapid reproduction in the affected body, whether it is a human, animal or plant. Its use is intended to spread diseases among the enemy forces to affect their efficiency and defeat them with ease, for which international humanitarian and criminal law considers their use a war crime, and the reason for its criminalization lies in the difficulty of controlling its consequences and bypassing the military to infect civilians with infectious diseases and inflict severe human suffering that is not justified by military necessity What made it the most deadly weapon of mass destruction in humanity. The policy of states has directed to armament with these weapons because it is easy to produce them in abundant quantities in short periods and at low cost, unlike others, which prompted the need to work to limit them by activating international mechanisms for prevention, control and punishment for the commission of this crime despite their shortcomings in verifying its commission, discovering the perpetrator, and thus punishing him.
