Abstract

The field of rhetorics tends to address the problematic of interpreting discourses, be they
oral or written, and for the sake of any accurate interpretation, the interpreter/critic relies on specific
perspectives in order to root out the true meaning of the analyzed discourse. The present paper,
accordingly, attempts to shed light on the methodological spectrums within the art of rhetorics that
Elkadi Abdul Jabar Al-Mu’tazil - one of the most prominent interpreter of Quran - utilized in order
to provide a more or less decent interpretation of the divine verses, taking into consideration the
ideological background; or the stream of thought, that parallels the thinking/interpretation ground of
Sheikhs el Mu’tazala.
