صراع القيم في الفكر النهضوي العربي الحديث

Abstract

This work deals with the issue of the conflict between the old trend and the modern trend in the Arab renaissance. In this important era, the Arab arena witnessed the collision with European culture. and as a result of this collision, the value contrast appeared between openness to European values and reservations about them. Accordingly, what this research aims at is to examine the image of this conflict, especially in the context of looking at the most important issues raised at the time, such as the issue of freedom, and so on. Addressing this issue led us to a basic conclusion, which is that the conflict at that time was not about the issue of progress per se, but rather it was about issues related to the results of the relationship with European values.
