Abstract

This research exposes one of the concise explanations that have been given to the poem of " Bānat Su'ād". It is the explanation of Yousef Al-Hefnawi (died 1178 AH) which is characterized by being short, educational oriented and language based as it deals with the meaning on the word level, then it provides the overall meaning of the verse. In his work, the scholar relied mostly on the explanation of Ibn Hichem Al-Ansari. First, the research presents a biography of Al-Hefnawi, then it clarifies the methodology used in his explanation and mentions the ownership of the book, finally it describes the versions on which the investigation was based, as well as attaching pictures of each version.
