Abstract
(Da’, Ha’, Ra’) in the Holy Quran An evidence-based linguistic study ABSTRACT ظَهَرَ This study takes a look at the articles (Da’, Ha’, Ra ) in the Holy Quran with an evidentiary and linguistic lens to find out the definitions of these articles (Da’, Ha’, Ra’) and their connotations in the Quranic context. This study will adopt the deductive extrapolation methodology with a keen analytical framework. The study concluded that the material (Da’, Ha’, Ra) appeared in the Qur'an forty-two times in a variety of explicit and nominal definitions; for each connotation. The morphological formulas of the single linguistic substance are shaped by its contextual evidence, it is not possible to read the word and understand its meaning in other than the context that it is found in. The Holy Quran acts as the environment in which the connotations and definitions of words are generated. The articles (Da’, Ha’, Ra’/ظهر) varied in their morphology in the Holy Quran until it reached eleven explicit and nominal definitions, in which all the definitions have a unique meaning in the Quranic context; hence no other word can act in their place, and the nominal forms (Da’, Ha’, Ra’/ظهر) and (Da’, Ha’, Wow, Ra’/ظهور) were used varied between the true sensory meaning and the metaphorical meaning (metonymical). This forms a diversity in which the same word is used for two different means. This indicates the eloquence and elegance of the Holy Quran. Hence every article in its Quranic connotation draws an illustration that only it can achieve. This is from the miraculous nature of the Holy Quran in its varied connotation and definitions. This study has been organized in an introduction, three subtopics and a conclusion.
