Cases of husbands' murders of their wives through private Algerian satellite channels - an analytical descriptive study

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the cases of spousal murders from 2014 to 2020 which garnered a lot of media attention. The murders amount to 16. After highlighting the reasons, the methods and age categories of the criminals, the media have concluded that the main reason of these killings is the lack of respect between husbands and wife which creates rows; infidelity as well as psychological disorders. Most of the killings were using knives. The study does stress on the necessity of guiding and counseling couples and thus before marriage and to think and commincate wisely in order to achieve stability.
